thum_wardell-sagan-apartment.jpg
This original open-space living/work loft is the creation of two San Francisco art and travel addicts, Jeff Wardell and Claudia Sagan. They bought a 3,200 sq ft former Chinese laundry and restored it as a living space. They also wanted to include a home office and a guest bedroom without cluttering the space, so they came up with the idea of stacking two shipping containers on top of each other to create private space within the open-plan living area. source

This chair was created by Kiwi&Pom for Walppaper Magazine, for our dismay it is a concept chair. This illuminated furniture concept is made of 200 meters of electroluminescent wire, it transforms itself into a neon rainbow when powered. The chair shines in a rainbow of color, and can be switched to a flash/pulse mode for a disco-style lighting effect.

thum_img_shaw_house.jpg
Amazing home in Vancouver, featuring above ground pool, designed by local firm Patkau Architects. The Shaw House won several design awards in the years immediately after construction was completed, including the prestigious National Honor Award in 2005 from the American Institute of Architects. The reason it drew such attention is due to the fact that the designated site for the Shaw House unkindly dictated that this single occupant residence could not be greater than 8 meters wide.
