Each team is composed of one high-level design firm and one American bicycle crafter, and they are asked "who can make the most innovative utility bike?” teams are required to build a fully functional prototype and at the end of the development period, cycling enthusiasts are invited to vote on which design they think is most visionary and best suited for the everyday rider. After the votes are tallied, the winning bike will be then be produced by Fuji Bikes and will eventually be available in retail shops.
