"Sitting is the new smoking”, how many times have we heard that… We all know a sedentary lifestyle is bad for us, we just don’t realize how bad it is. Spending less time sitting down really can add years to your life. If you do not have a workstation that is ergonomic, you could be causing more harm to your body than you realize. There are certain positions that are more natural for our body as we sit at a computer. Today we have rounded up a list of products that help us keep our bodies healthy as we work. What follows are some solutions to help you do just that. (list in no particular order).

JM & Sons are furniture crafters from Toronto, Canada. Each of their minimal creations is built by hand with locally sourced, reclaimed wood and raw metals, they strive to make sure each piece retains a bit of that natural ruggedness. Restoration Hardware always surprise´s us with their unusual line of home furnishings, our latest find on their website is this unique Blackhawk Secretary inspired by the gleaming nose cones and fuselages of mid-20th-century aircrafts. The cool workstation is wrapped in handmade polished aluminum with a matt finish that´s slightly distressed for a vintage look. Open up and you´ll find plenty of drawers, shelves and a pull-down work surface.

LA-based designer Stephen Kenn created this unique furniture collection using repurposed military fabrics. The Inheritance Collection features rugged pieces that are long lasting and have a very utilitarian aesthetic, they are crafted from welded steel frames and feature a supportive structure created by simply weaving strapping through the frame and attaching it with leather belts. The classy, high-end booze shrine and dispensary is hand made to order in the UK from either American Black Walnut or Blackened Ash, as for the quilted back panel you have the option of sumptuous Grey Berry silk or rockstar Black Leather. We have done some features on Classified Moto during the last couple of years, from their awesome custom bikes to their very creative and unique furniture made out of recycled vintage bike parts. Our friends John and Betsy Ryland have contacted us to let us know they have added some new pieces to the collection, a table ($1,499), a table lamp ($199) and a floor lamp ($429). All pieces are custom made from retired components from up to three different vintage motorcycles.

Great collection by our favorite Restoration Hardware. The Richards Trunks is a English steamer trunk collection. The vintage collection was inspired by a  vintage English steamer trunk that once belonged to traveler Tom Richard. The collection features drawers, chests, trunks and a great looking desk.
