The Orfos Flare Light is a lighting system developed by a Seattle bike commuter that, due to the city´s usual bad weather sometimes didn´t feel safe enough to take his bike out, for safety reasons. He never felt that he could really be seen on the rainy days or nights. So he set out to design a light that could assure him that everyone would see, all the way around the bike itself. To celebrate Konami´s new game "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain", Triumph have presented a spectacular one-off creation, dubbed "Venom". The military-styled bike is based on the Bonneville T100 ridden by character Snake in Metal Gear Solid V, and was created in-house by the Triumph team. Modifications include custom built wheels fitted with the popular and aggressive go-anywhere Continental TKC80 tyres, a yellowed-out JVB Rumbler headlight, slash cut exhausts, a neoprene and carbon kevlar leather saddle (inspired by Snake’s combat wear), and heavy duty ammo rack loops around the back of the bike. Our Friday custom motorbike crush comes from Montreal-based Clockwork Motorcycles, a talented team that has given this 1978 Honda CB750 a sleek all-black makeover. The stealth bike was striped to its essentials, and no parts were left untouched, they rebuilt the engine and exhaust system, and fitted new rear shocks, new wiring, a custom leather seat, a modified oil tank and hand made side cover with a brushed, blacked-out metal effect (also applied to the fuel tank’s filler cap cover). Over the years we have showcased many adventure vehicles, but nothing as special as this, an old-school bus converted into a camper. Restored to perfection by Winkleman Architecture for a client, the 1959 Chevrolet Viking short bus can safely carry 12 passengers, converting to guest quarters for two with two single beds, or joined in the center as a queen bed. The design aesthetic was inspired by the mid-century, and has a charming 60′s, hippy-chic feel, executed with an arts and crafts approach. The sixties vibe is complete with plumbing, power, and a funky interior including a beautiful pine floor, multi-colored beads, tassel lamps and Moroccan-style prints. The end result is a cozy cottage on wheels for unique family forays into the wilderness.
