Sometime last year we featured the very popular transparent pool, by OFTB(Out from the blue), a team of landscape architects, horticulturists and in-house pool builders based in Melbourne, Australia. Another of their stunning creations is this design for a house in Melbourne.

Es Pujol De S´era is a beautiful single level home and work studio in Spanish island Formentera. Designed by Spanish architect Marià Castelló Martínez, the 2,163 square foot retreat consists of an office and residential area with subtle divisions between work and play. The house inside is simple, bright and pure with focus drawn to the picture perfect views of the surrounding wheat and barley fields.

The stunning Jaffa Apartment features contemporary minimalism architecture imbedded in a historic residence in Old Jaffa, Tel-Aviv - Israel. Designed by Israeli-based Pitsou Kedem Architects, the 100 square meter residential flat is set above the harbor and has majestic views of the Mediterranean Sea. The restoration maintained all of the building´s original characteristics: the stone walls, the segmented ceilings and the arches including the exposure of the original materials.

This spectacular contemporary house was designed by Greek architect Konstantinos Kontos. Located in Aigina Island, Greece, the modern residence offers unique breathtaking views of the island and surrounding ocean. The house can be opened up in the middle, hence making a "see through" from the pool out to the amazing views.

Awesome design by Maxim Zhukov for this funky bachelor pad. The place is packed with cool industrial decor, great use of concrete, wood, metal, and exposed brick walls. Also, some giant casters and road signs add to the charm and character of the place. Another great detail is the "floating" work space above the bed accessed by cantilevered stairs. source

The Story Pool House is exactly what its name suggests, a beautiful hang out by the pool. Designed by Lake Flato Architects, the open air pavilion serves as a "sunrise to sunset” living room. Located in sunny Texas, the shelter is made from Texas limestone, steel, and wood, providing a shade from the scorching sun. The hideaway includes a kitchen, dining area, bath, and storage area. Also, a private deck under the vine covered arbor for the trailer and an inviting pool. The beautiful design and flawless execution have awarded this oasis with innumerous architecture awards.

This has to be one of the most amazing properties we have come across this year. The "V4 House" in Sao Paulo - Brazil, was designed by renown Architect Marcio Kogan. The main feature is the lack of walls, making the interior flow effortlessly onto the lush outside environment. The stunning property has not gone unnoticed in the architectural world, it has been nominated under the House category of the 2012 World Architecture Festival.

We love what Dive Architects have done with this stylish, minimalist apartment in Soho London. The owner initially had no idea what to do with such a cramped space. The Architects proposal was to extend the building over an existing terrace. They placed two large sliding doors that open into cavities within the walls, this allows residents to enjoy the open air on a beautiful day. Just watch your step...

Another gem by one of our favorite Architecture studios. Victoria 73 is a stunning property designed by South African Architects SAOTA(Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects). The house was designed for a family in the city of Cape Town, South Africa. The Architects created an environment so the family can enjoy an outdoor lifestyle. The house is on a cliff, but protected from prevailing winds and enjoys spectacular sea views over Bantry Bay.

Casa Olivi is a beautiful renovation by Wespi de Meuron Architects, the 300 year old farm is located in Treia, in the heart of the Marches, the New Tuscany. The Farmhouse renovation took 4 years, the outside style was preserved, but the inside was entirely re-organized according to a luxurious, high comfortable and minimalist style. The 5 bedroom house is on a hill top and features a stunning infinity pool with a 360 degrees view of the beautiful, olive tree landscape. It is hard to imagine a better environment to build a shelter connected with nature. On the Portuguese coast (about an hour south of Lisbon) lies a hidden piece of paradise...Comporta. Designer and creator of recycled furniture Pequenina Rodrigues, fell in love with the natural beauty of the surroundings and without hesitation, designed this divine shelter. The structure of the house is divided into four traditional fishing huts. In the main hut lies the living room and kitchen, it features three porches overlooking a Jacuzzi dug into the sand. The other three cottages house the master bedroom and bathroom, and a total of three guest rooms. Built on sand and recycled wood structures, the straw huts are connected by open paths through the dunes.

Fincube is a project by Berlin based Architecture company "Studio Aisslinger". The concept is a modular, sustainable & transportable low-energy house. The example created is a 47sq m residence, 1200m above sea level near Bozen in Northern Italy, with a beautiful view of the famous Dolomite mountains. It is made mostly with local materials and is energy efficient. The idea of the concept is a sustainable nomadic house, meaning it can be easily disassembled, transported and quickly rebuilt on a new site.

Located in Koh Samui, Thailand, this magnificent property spread out over two and a half acres of oceanfront land, offers uninterrupted ocean views. This original open-space living/work loft is the creation of two San Francisco art and travel addicts, Jeff Wardell and Claudia Sagan. They bought a 3,200 sq ft former Chinese laundry and restored it as a living space. They also wanted to include a home office and a guest bedroom without cluttering the space, so they came up with the idea of stacking two shipping containers on top of each other to create private space within the open-plan living area. source

The Hemloft is a self-funded secret creation by Joel Allen, a Canadian software developer-turned-carpenter. The beautiful egg-shaped house is a tree-house retreat in Whistler, Canada. It hangs on a precipitous slope, in a towering stand of Hemlocks, about a five minute walk from the nearest road. Joe also created a website for "The Hemloft" you can read his interesting story, from becoming a carpenter, to finding the perfect spot and tree, and funding the project. source

Aquaria Grande is an incredible project by Hong Kong-based architect James Law. The skyscraping residential complex has an outstanding and eye-popping feature, swimming pools instead of balconies! The building is intended for Mumbai, India, and will be developed by Indian real estate company Wadhwa Group, its comprised of two 37-story towers, with 200 apartments.
