Flying-car developer Terrafugia have presented the science fiction-esque TF-X, the practical realization of the dream of countless visions of the future. The spectacular flying plug-in hybrid will be able to take off and land vertically, carry four people in car-like comfort, cruise at speeds of up to 200 mph, and have a non-stop flight range of at least 500 miles. Terrafugia predicts it will take the average driver about five hours to learn how to fly a TF-X, you´ll be able to deploy the wings at the push of a button in a matter of seconds, and power the propellers to take off vertically just like a helicopter. A ducted fan then provides thrust. Unfortunately Terrafugia says the TF-X will be another 8-12 years in development. watch the video

We are suckers for a simple functional design, and we specially love products that are easy to pack and transport in a backpack or saddlebag. Best Made´s new offering is this clever Takedown Skillet, a 10” skillet made of British cast iron, with two brass wing nuts that secure the handle to the pan, so the Skillet can be broken down and stowed easily.
