Lume Ranger Lightweight Caravan

The Lume Ranger is the lightest caravan Lume Traveler has built to date, designed to make towing easier without stripping away the Dutch brand’s more luxurious touches. Measuring 5.19 meters long and 2.04 meters wide, it weighs 1,150 kg empty with a maximum authorised weight of 1,500 kg, keeping the footprint relatively compact for a fully equipped travel trailer.

Inside, the Ranger leans heavily into warm materials rather than the typical utilitarian caravan finish. Wool felt lines the walls, teak covers the floor, and leather details add a more residential feel. A pop-up roof opens the interior vertically, creating a greater sense of space while parked, and a 160 × 200 cm Auping queen-size bed gives two occupants a permanent sleeping setup.

Cooking happens outside. The Ranger uses Lume’s signature pull-out outdoor kitchen, allowing meals to be prepared in the open air while keeping the interior focused on sleeping and relaxing. The layout is designed around making the most of limited space rather than simply scaling down the equipment found in a larger caravan.

At 2.19 meters high with the roof closed, the Ranger is aimed at travelers who want a more agile alternative to a large touring caravan while still retaining proper materials, a fixed bed, and a fully equipped kitchen.
