Skip the Wait for This ICON Bronco

There is usually a long waiting list for an ICON 4x4 build, often stretching years. This 1974 Ford Bronco ICON BR skips that entirely, offering a rare chance to get into one of their early builds without the wait.

This is chassis number 0005 from the BR series, completed in 2011 and still holding up as one of the cleanest executions of ICON’s formula. It keeps the classic Bronco shape intact but rebuilds everything underneath to modern standards.

The body is finished in satin bronze and sits on an Art Morrison chassis with a lifted suspension and Fox coilovers. It looks understated, but the hardware tells a different story. Power comes from a 5.0 liter Coyote V8 paired with a five speed manual and dual range transfer case, sending power through Dynatrac axles with locking differentials. It is built to be driven properly, not just admired.

Inside, it balances utility with comfort. Gray vinyl seating, a full roll bar, air conditioning, and modern touches like a touchscreen stereo and digital gauges make it usable without losing its character.

Details like the swing away tire carrier, Warn winch, retractable side steps, and Hutchinson wheels complete the build. Everything feels intentional, with no unnecessary additions.

Most builds try to improve on the original. ICON focuses on refining it, and this one shows exactly why the waitlist exists in the first place.
