Boca De Agua Hotel

Located in Bacalar, Mexico, the Boca de Agua Hotel is making waves in sustainable tourism. With its 22 treehouses nestled in an 82-acre natural reserve and reforestation site, this conscious hospitality destination embraces the Yucatn jungles lush beauty. Architect Frida Escobedos design merges modernism with local craftsmanship, featuring latticework for natural ventilation and shade while connecting with the environment.

The hotel offers crystal-clear waters of Bacalar Lagoon and emphasizes mental well-being, a vital aspect of its mission. Founder Rodrigo Juarez sought to create a haven for guests to unwind amidst nature, addressing his own struggles with anxiety. Boca de Agua fosters local engagement, supports small businesses, and provides opportunities for underrepresented professionals. This sustainable retreat combines Mexican modernism, traditional Japanese architecture, and Caribbean jungle vibes.
