Wolbrook Skindiver WTD Chrono
The Wolbrook Skindiver WTD Chrono borrows its character from an era when a wristwatch doubled as a working instrument. Inspired by the aeronautical research organization that preceded NASA, the NACA Edition comes in metallic white Panda and black Vintage versions. Broad arrow hands, warm-toned luminous markings, and detailed scales give it an appearance rooted in mid-century aviation.
The dial does more than frame the time. An outer telemeter estimates distance from the delay between seeing an event and hearing it, while the inner decimeter scale expresses elapsed time in hundredths of a minute. Around both, a rotating bezel combines a 0–60 scale with 12 city time zones. These functions explain the watch’s unusually busy layout, giving each marking a job.
A Seiko VK64 mecaquartz movement pairs quartz regulation with mechanical chronograph action, including a sweeping stopwatch hand and instant reset. The brushed stainless steel case measures 40mm across, 13mm thick, and 48mm lug to lug. Domed sapphire with an internal anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while a screw-down crown and 100m water resistance support everyday wear.
Assembled in France, the Skindiver WTD Chrono offers a three-link steel bracelet alongside leather and beads-of-rice options. The bracelet gives its instrument-style dial a cleaner everyday setting, while leather emphasizes the vintage character.
