The new Garmin Instinct 2X Solar is a rugged smartwatch for active lifestyles, meeting MIL-STD-810 standards for water, shock, and thermal resistance. The strengthened glass solar charging array produces 50% more energy than its predecessor, and GPS connectivity has been improved with multi-band GNSS support, a barometric altimeter, and a 3-axis compass. The Tracback routing feature can guide you back to your starting point, and the watch also includes a flashlight. Retailing at $450 ($499 for the Tactical edition), the Instinct 2X Solar has unlimited battery life in smartwatch mode thanks to its solar charging feature.
