CLAE Bradley X
The Bradley has been one of CLAE's most recognizable silhouettes since it launched as a collaboration with Ronnie Fieg a decade ago. The Bradley X marks the anniversary by bringing production back to Los Angeles through a partnership with COMUNITYmade, shifting the focus from overseas manufacturing to domestic handcrafted construction.
The shoe is built from natural vegetable tanned leather, the kind that develops character over time rather than looking worse for it. Recycled laces, a GRS certified recycled PU foam insole for comfort, and CLAE's Standard Premium outsole made with 30% natural rubber round out a material list that takes sustainability seriously without making it the entire pitch. The clean lines and low profile keep it versatile enough to work across most situations without demanding attention.
CLAE has spent 25 years trying to bridge the gap between classic casual footwear and athletic comfort. The Bradley X is probably the clearest expression of that idea they have produced. Handmade in LA, built to age well, and quiet enough to wear every day.
