CLAE Bastian Sneakers
The CLAE Bastian reworks the iconic German Army Trainer as a cleaner, more refined court sneaker. Its familiar T-toe silhouette pairs an Olive Turbulence upper with a light gum sole, creating a versatile color combination that feels understated without disappearing into the background.
Premium milled Nappa leather is combined with smooth suede panels, while perforations across the tongue and vamp improve airflow and reinforce the shoe’s vintage athletic character. A padded collar and leather heel counter provide added structure around the foot.
Underfoot, CLAE uses its Standard Premium sole, made with 30% natural rubber and a concealed EVA insert to reduce weight and add flexibility. The insole contains 80% recycled PU foam, while the lining combines leather with recycled polyester and the laces are made entirely from recycled nylon.
Handcrafted in Vietnam, the Bastian balances the restrained appearance of a retro court shoe with materials chosen for everyday comfort and durability.
