The Tarform Vera Reimagines the Electric Motorcycle
Tarform does not follow the usual playbook, and the Vera makes that clear from the first glance. Built out of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, this is the next step after the Luna, but it is not a simplified version. It is a complete rethink. The goal was not to strip things back, but to refine the idea into something lighter, more usable, and still unmistakably Tarform.
Where the Luna leaned into craftsmanship as art, the Vera focuses on balance. The construction is cleaner, the number of parts reduced, and the overall build more repeatable without losing the material honesty the brand is known for. You still get hand-finished elements, thoughtful detailing, and a design language that feels closer to sculpture than mass production, just with a sharper sense of purpose.
If you are drawn to the more experimental side of electric motorcycles, the DAB 1A Electric Motorcycle pushes design even further, blending minimalism with a strong visual identity.
Performance backs that shift. With power comparable to a 600cc motorcycle and a curb weight of just 368 pounds, the Vera is built to feel immediate and controlled. Acceleration is quick, with a 0 to 60 time around 3.3 seconds, while the direct drive setup keeps delivery smooth and predictable. It is not about outright speed, but how the bike responds in real conditions, from tight corners to everyday riding.
Range sits around 100 miles thanks to an 8.2 kWh battery, with a top speed of 90 mph. More importantly, the chassis and geometry are tuned for stability and confidence, making this a machine that feels intuitive rather than overwhelming.
For a more performance-focused take, the Verge TS Pro Electric Motorcycle delivers a completely different approach, built around raw power and a distinctive hubless rear wheel design.
The first Launch Edition models will be built in limited numbers at Tarform’s Brooklyn studio, starting at $24,000, with deliveries expected from August 2026. A more accessible version is planned to follow from $18,000. The Vera is not trying to replace the Luna. It is defining a different lane. Less about pushing boundaries for the sake of it, more about creating something that fits into everyday use without losing the identity that made Tarform worth paying attention to in the first place.
