Segway Built a 60 MPH Dirt Bike
When you hear Segway, you probably don’t think of a 60 mph dirt bike. The Segway Xaber 300 eDirt Bike is exactly that, and it is built to change that perception fast. This is not an entry level electric toy. With 21 kW of peak power and a lightweight chassis, it delivers serious performance that sits closer to a small motocross bike than anything in the e-bike category. Instant torque gives it a different kind of punch, especially off the line and through technical sections.

What makes it interesting is how it bridges the gap between electric and traditional riding. Multiple power modes let you scale from manageable to aggressive, while the virtual e clutch mimics the feel of a real clutch for riders coming from gas bikes. It is a smart move, and not something most electric bikes even try to solve.

The hardware backs it up. A forged aluminum frame, fully adjustable Marzocchi suspension, and four piston hydraulic brakes give it the control to match the power. Add traction control, regen braking, and a connected cockpit with GPS and app tuning, and it starts to feel more like a platform than just a bike. It is not trying to replace traditional dirt bikes overnight. But it makes a strong case that electric is no longer the compromise option.
