BMW Electric Conversion Kit

This unique kit turns BMW airheads into electric motorcycles, it lets you build an EV with BMW´s most iconic motorcycle whilst maintaining its character. LM Creations engineered a complete "crank" case, housing all the electric components, making it a bolt on solution, simply remove the crank shaft and bolt in a 11kw electric powerplant, and keep the gearbox and the rest of the driveline, this maintains the experience of riding a motorcycle. In fact, you can ride off in any gear which will have a different torque and speed experience in each one. And you can just switch gear any way you like. Currently they offer a battery pack with 4.3kw, which is good for 80km max, but they plan to offer larger ones in the future. The example shown here uses a BMW R80 donor bike, but it is possible to bolt the system to all R-series bikes built between 1969 and 1995.
