Brekr Model B
One of the most interesting-looking electric bikes we have seen recently is the Brekr Model B out of the Netherlands. This good-looking ride aims to provide a mobility solution to urban commuters, the small moped-style bike is equipped with enough power and range to get you around town for up to 50-80 km with a single battery of 1,9 kW/h of capacity and a top speed of 45km/h. There is also an option to dramatically increase its range by simply adding another battery that will provide 100 to 160 km. These power packs can easily be removed for home or office top-ups, and fast-charging is supported. Its large 17-inch Michelin City Pro wheels ensure comfort and good handling, and the beautifully designed and light aluminum frame ensures the battery is right at the center of weight distribution, and positioned in a low standing point which greatly improves handling. Stopping power comes from hydraulic disc brakes at the front and back, whist a nice rear and front suspension will make sure any unforeseen bumps will be ignored. A GPS module keeps track of the location of your bike using the Brekr mobile app, which also offers ride information. Another cool feature is the fact that it will make a pulsating synth/motor sound while moving, so it won’t sneak up on people…
