Autohome x Land Rover Defender

Land Rover has introduced a new bespoke roof tent for its latest Defender. They have teamed up with roof tent specialist Autohome to turn the new Defender into an all-terrain social distancing machine. The rooftop tent is as tough and capable as the vehicle it was created for, it can be easily opened in seconds with just one hand (thanks to the aid of gas struts) and has room to comfortably fit two adults. Access to the tent is via a compact and lightweight aluminum ladder. It also features a full-size luxury mattress, pillows, a LED light, a rear canopy, and is protected by a lightweight fiberglass shell with a shape that is designed to ensure stability and aerodynamic efficiency. The perfect combination for those who set no limits to their freedom.

Freescape did not just tweak an existing layout. They rethought how space should work in a compact adventure van. The headline feature is the patented inflatable pop up roof that expands to the side instead of straight up. With the push of a button, the roof tilts toward t...

Two gas struts help the BDV wedge tent open, which has a low profile and is lightweight. The roof of the tent can accommodate 100 po...
