Volata Cycles, based in San Francisco, have presented their Italian-Designed, high-tech bicycle. The Volata Bike is specifically designed for next generation commuters, focusing on the integration of cycling and tech in a unique way. Notable features include an integrated 2.4-inch LCD TFT display built into the aluminum stem, built-in GPS, built-in lights automatically turn on when it gets dark, an electronic horn, a self-charging battery (automatically charges while you’re riding), and an embedded anti-theft system and GPS locator that protect your bike and notify you in real-time of any suspicious activities. A smartphone app is also included and pairs with the bike´s screen, displaying weather, navigation and heart rate, as well as music and incoming notifications.
