Alpine A310 VISION
Alpine has brought one of its most distinctive sports cars back into the spotlight with the A310 Vision, a striking retro-futuristic concept unveiled at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. Inspired by the original A310 of 1971, the design study transforms the French brand's angular seventies icon into a low-slung, sculptural machine with modern aerodynamics and unmistakable Alpine character. It's a celebration of the original rather than a preview of a confirmed production car.
Measuring 4.55 meters long, 2.03 meters wide at the rear, and just 1.18 meters tall, the A310 Vision makes an immediate impression with its dramatic proportions. Flowing aluminum bodywork contrasts with a black lower section inspired by Formula 1 aerodynamics, while muscular rear arches recall the original A310 V6. Distinctive three-spoke wheels feature an A-shaped design, paying tribute to the classic model's geometric styling.
The details are particularly compelling. At the front, innovative pop-down headlights emerge from the bodywork, while a sculpted S-duct channels air through the hood. A central blade guides the eye toward the rear, where a transparent split wing and sharply integrated lighting create an unusual combination of aerodynamic purpose and visual drama. The semi-transparent bubble canopy reveals an equally imaginative interior, with organically shaped seats, bold colors, and physical controls inspired by vintage Hi-Fi equipment.
Built around the design possibilities of Alpine's new Performance Platform (APP), the A310 Vision explores the proportions and styling opportunities available to future sports cars. However, Alpine has deliberately kept the project focused on design rather than performance, revealing no power output, battery specifications, or production plans. Its purpose is to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the four-cylinder A310 and the 50th anniversary of the V6.
Like the Audi Concept C, the A310 Vision demonstrates how an established sports car brand can reinterpret its heritage for a new generation. And much like the Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso Concept, it prioritizes expressive design over immediate production ambitions. The result is one of Alpine's most memorable recent concepts, even if this extraordinary interpretation of the A310 never reaches the road.
