A Classic Mustang Fastback Rebuilt the Right Way
Revology has built its name on doing restomods properly, and this Mustang Fastback is a clear example of that approach. At a glance, it carries all the presence of a late 60s icon, now finished in the unmistakable Highland Green, but underneath it is a completely modern machine designed to be driven, not just admired. Even better, this particular build is currently up for auction on Bring a Trailer, where interest is already building around the listing.
Power comes from Ford’s 5.0 liter Coyote V8, delivering around 460 horsepower through a 10 speed automatic transmission. It is a combination that transforms the car. Smooth when you want it to be, aggressive when you push it, and far more usable than any original drivetrain. Supporting upgrades like a carbon fiber driveshaft, upgraded cooling, and a Borla exhaust complete the package.
If you are into Mustang builds that lean more into cinematic presence, the Eleanor Gone Again Mustang pushes the same classic formula with a more aggressive, movie-inspired edge.
The chassis has been reworked to match that performance. A Mustang II style front end with rack and pinion steering, paired with a three link rear suspension, gives it handling that feels planted and predictable. Adjustable coilovers and Wilwood disc brakes bring the kind of control you would expect from a modern performance car, not a classic silhouette.
Inside, the balance continues. Black leather with contrast stitching, a clean dash layout, and subtle tech upgrades like push button start, air conditioning, and a modern head unit make it comfortable without losing the character of the original design. It feels like a classic Mustang that has been quietly brought up to date, rather than reinvented.
For a slightly more modern take on the restomod formula, the Mustang STL1 Restomod blends classic lines with updated performance and a sharper overall stance.
With just 1,200 miles on the build, this Revology Fastback sits in that rare space between restoration and reinvention. It looks like the car you have always wanted, but drives like something you can actually use every day.
