1965 Shelby Cobra

Auction house RM Sotheby’s has made available for purchase a trio of Cobras that represents the sports car in its elemental form. The Shelby Cobra, as it came to be called, quickly became one of the most iconic sports cars of its era, and now thanks to this one-of-a-kind auction, you have a chance to own the ultimate sports car, and an important piece of American history. Clad in bronze, copper, and aluminum, the three Cobras are in pristine condition and are now available for immediate acquisition via RM Sotheby’s Private Sales Division. The "CSX 4602" wears a polished copper body with brushed racing stripes and  comes equipped with a 550 hp, 468 cu.in. carbureted "427 FE" V-8 engine. The "CSX 4600" wears a hand-formed bronze body, and is fitted with a 650 hp, 511 cu. in. "427 FE" V-8 engine with Borla Induction throttle-body fuel injection. And finally, the "CSX 4428" is finished in polished aluminum with contrasting brushed racing stripes and is also powered by a 550 hp, 468 cu. in. carbureted "427 FE" V-8.
