Designed with minimalism in mind, the ultra-thin 5.95mm aluminum body includes a magnetic back that lets it attach to compatible accessories, while the native firmware remains fully unlocked for developers and enthusiasts who prefer to customize their reading experience. Support for VIA-style firmware customization, expandable storage up to 256GB, and compatibility with popular formats including EPUB, TXT, MOBI, PDF, and image files make it surprisingly versatile for such a compact device.

Connectivity comes via Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, and a magnetic charging adapter, while the upgraded 1,100mAh battery is rated for up to 90 hours of reading with the front light turned off. A companion app can also synchronize reading material, news feeds, weather, and other content, turning the X4 Pro into a portable information hub as well as an eReader.
