M0 Pura MP3 Player
The iPod Nano has been dead since 2017 and nothing has properly replaced it. Your phone can stream millions of songs but it also has notifications, social media, and every other distraction fighting for attention while you listen. The Shanling M0 Pura exists for people who want to listen to music and do absolutely nothing else.
At 43.8 by 45 by 13.8mm and 35.8 grams, it is barely larger than a postage stamp. A 1.54 inch HD touchscreen runs Shanling's MTouch OS, built specifically for fast navigation through albums, playlists, and settings without the overhead of a smartphone operating system. No streaming apps. No Apple Music, no Spotify, no Tidal. All music lives on a microSD card expandable up to 2TB. Load it with ripped CDs, digitized vinyl, FLAC files, or your old iTunes library and leave your phone in your bag.
The audio hardware is where the M0 Pura separates itself from every other pocket player on the market. Dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 DACs deliver 121dB signal to noise ratio and 0.0004% THD+N on single ended output. PCM playback reaches 32 bit 384kHz. Native DSD128 decoding. These are specifications that compete with desktop grade equipment from something that weighs less than a box of matches. The 3.5mm jack serves as both single ended and balanced output with Shanling's optional 4.4mm adapter, pushing 250mW into 32 ohms in balanced mode with channel separation of 99dB. Enough power to drive demanding IEMs and studio headphones with authority.
Bidirectional Bluetooth 5.0 adds flexibility. As a transmitter it sends LDAC, aptX, AAC, and SBC to wireless headphones. As a receiver it accepts LDAC, SBC, and AAC from your phone, turning the M0 Pura into a Bluetooth DAC and headphone amplifier that upgrades whatever your phone outputs. Plug it into a computer via USB C and it functions as a USB DAC supporting 192kHz 32 bit and DSD128.
A 650mAh battery delivers up to 9.5 hours of continuous playback and one month of deep standby. USB C fast charging. AB repeat and variable speed playback at 1.0x through 2.0x make it useful for musicians transcribing and language learners. Compatible with virtually every audio format including DSD, APE, FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, MP3, AAC, OGG, and CUE sheets.
Available in multiple colors. The M0 Pura costs about the same as Apple's most affordable AirPods but delivers something no AirPods can: a distraction free, audiophile grade listening experience in a device small enough to clip to your shirt and forget about until the music starts.
