Garmin inReach Mini 2

Garmin have just introduced the new version of their popular palm-sized satellite communicator for adventures, where size and weight matter. The compact sat-com device thankfully looks almost the same at its predecessor, retaining the same general size and styling, but now gets a bolstered battery life (almost two weeks), an impressive companion app, and now has the ability to plan and follow routes and courses, and a way to retrace your route and get back home. Garmin inReach Mini 2 also has a designated SOS button to declare an emergency if any emergency situation may arise, and a 1.3-inch monochrome display that you can use for all its messaging, SOS, and navigation functions. Other features include weather forecasts, cloud storage, trip planning, and satellite plans that only require a 30-day commitment.
