Portage Bay House

Developed by Heliotrope Architects, this stunning loft-like house was designed for a bachelor who values privacy. It sits on the waterfront in Seattle, Washington, and is fronted by an unassuming entryway marked only by a garage and wood front door. Protective shells of zinc and aluminum on the exterior echo the maritime industrial sheds littered throughout Seattle, whilst floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of natural light and offer a pristine view of Portage Bay with the Cascade Mountains in the background. The waterside of the house looks onto a large patio filled with flora and fauna that opens to a quaint dock for a quick boat trip and a convenient spot to park the float plane.

BAREBONES PULASKI AXE

Barebones have introduced the beautiful Pulaski Axe. Inspired by tools used by woodland firefighters, the tool features a head made from 1055 high carbon steel, which combines an axe and an adze. Inside the Beech wood handle runs a solid steel core that secures the head with a tightening hex bolt and connects it to the steel pommel end. This helps you maneuver easily around rooting and trenching. The Pulaski also comes with a leather sheath. Learn more from Ba...

WARDELL SAGAN APARTMENT

This original open-space living/work loft is the creation of two San Francisco art and travel addicts, Jeff Wardell and Claudia Sagan. They bought a 3,200 sq ft former Chinese laundry and restored it as a living space. They also wanted to include a home office and a guest bedroom without cluttering the space, so they came up with the idea of stacking two shipping containers on top of each other to create private space within the open-plan living area. source Like...
