Hood Canal Boathouse

Located along the Hood Canal, a scenic waterway in northern Washington, this stunning retreat is the reimagination of an existing boathouse that had no windows, one door, and no charm. It was transformed into a cozy space by the Hoedemaker Pfeiffer architecture studio, whom aimed to create a building that engaged the landscape and provided a warm and comfortable atmosphere indoors. The beautiful cabin features a loft space accessed by a retractable ladder so the building can be used for boat storage in winter and loft sleeping in summer.
