Cornwall Wooden Home

Husband and wife Tom and Danielle Raffield had already set up a successful business using steam to bend wood into beautiful furniture. Now they have decided to turn their talent into creating a spectacular family home with a wraparound balcony, spa-like bathrooms and glass corridors. As with their furniture pieces, the couple used steam-bent timber to cover this extension to an old gamekeepers lodge in Cornwall, southwest England. The new structure is concealed behind the original cottage and outbuildings, which have all been fully restored. The custom touches and attention to detail is simply first class, and many items of furniture found within the home are available as part of Raffield’s latest collection
