White Desert Antarctica

If setting foot on the most remote continent on Earth is on your bucket list, White Desert Antarctica offers a way to do it in absolute style. Founded by polar explorer Patrick Woodhead, White Desert redefines what it means to experience the last great wilderness, combining luxury, sustainability, and adventure in one of the planet’s most surreal settings.

Guests fly from Cape Town directly to the heart of Antarctica, landing on the company’s Wolf’s Fang blue-ice runway. From there, they can explore three distinct eco-camps, Whichaway, Echo, and Wolf’s Fang, each designed to blend seamlessly with the frozen landscape while leaving no trace behind. The new Echo Camp, inspired by space travel, features futuristic "Sky Pods” with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the icy expanse, creating a feeling of being on another planet.

Days are spent ice climbing, hiking, and visiting vast emperor penguin colonies, while evenings bring fine dining, cocktail hours, and even a cedar sauna under 24-hour sunlight. What sets White Desert apart is its commitment to sustainability, carbon neutral since 2007 and pioneering the use of sustainable aviation fuel in Antarctica.

Whether you choose a week-long expedition or the one-day "Greatest Day” experience, White Desert makes the impossible accessible. It’s not just a trip, it’s a rare opportunity to witness the raw beauty and stillness of the edge of the world.
