Lilypad Floating Cabin
When all this craziness is over, you will probably want to escape to a place designed with tranquility and relaxation in mind. Created by Australia-based designer and boat enthusiast Chuck Anderson, the Lilypad is a 100% solar-powered, floating villa in Palm Beach, about an hour north of Sydney, Australia. With a Scandinavian vibe, the cozy cabin is encased in light wood and black trim and features a wraparound deck overlooking just a few neighboring boats and the rolling hills of the nearby shore. Inside the two story modern home is a large living room area, a full-sized modern kitchen, a fully-stocked humidity-controlled wine cellar, an elevated master loft bedroom, and a luxury bathroom equipped with an large designer shower, wash basin, and toilet. There is also a private self-drive tender, 24 hour concierge service, stand-up paddle boards and fishing gear, and several leisure activities that can be arranged such as exploring the nearby beach by boat for a picnic, surfing at Palm Beach, or booking in an on-board massage. Best of all, Lilypad is sustainably made, powered completely by the sun. Located in the most tranquil of settings, this is the perfect escape for romance.
