Wolbrook Outrider Automatic Watch

The Wolbrook Outrider Automatic returns with a subtle but meaningful upgrade, combining its vintage-inspired field watch design with a new mechanical movement and an additional bracelet option. Drawing inspiration from the rugged military tool watches of the 1950s, the latest production run maintains the Outrider's purposeful aesthetic while refining the details that matter most for everyday use.

The biggest change is inside the case. Wolbrook has replaced the discontinued Miyota 8315 with the Japanese-made Miyota 82S0 automatic movement, a dedicated no-date caliber offering a 42-hour power reserve. Unlike movements adapted from date-equipped designs, the 82S0 eliminates the unused date-setting position, making time adjustments more straightforward. It's a small but thoughtful improvement that reinforces the watch's straightforward, functional character.

The Outrider retains its 39.5mm stainless steel case, featuring Wolbrook's proprietary HexapleX architecture for enhanced shock resistance and 150 meters of water resistance. A double-domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating protects the highly legible dial, while Super-LumiNova hands and markers provide visibility in low-light conditions. The screw-down crown, drilled lugs, and brushed and polished finishes further emphasize its practical tool-watch credentials.

For this new release, Wolbrook has also introduced a three-link stainless steel bracelet alongside the existing leather strap and beads-of-rice bracelet options. Available with blue, black, or vintage-inspired luminous dials, the updated Outrider is assembled and regulated in France. The movement transition also reflects Wolbrook's longer-term ambition to develop greater independence in mechanical watchmaking through its collaboration with Jeambrun. The result is a classic field watch that continues to evolve without losing sight of its original purpose.
