Straum Expedition Watch
The Straum Expedition builds its outdoor credentials around small, useful details. An enlarged screw-down crown is designed for cold or gloved hands, with a fluorescent orange indicator that remains visible when it is unscrewed. The hardened Grade 5 titanium case has a stepped bezel and broad flanks designed to help protect the sapphire crystal, giving the watch a purposeful shape without excessive bulk.
Proportions stay compact, with a 38.2mm bezel, an 11mm overall thickness, and a 45.7mm lug-to-lug measurement. The watch weighs approximately 80 grams on its FKM rubber strap and offers 100-meter water resistance. A titanium push-button coupling allows tool-free strap changes while preserving the integrated connection between case and strap.
Inside sits a Swiss La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement, regulated by Straum and offering a 68-hour power reserve. A closed caseback carries an illustration of a lone hiker beneath the stars, adding a quieter reference to the Expedition name. Designed in Norway and Swiss Made, the watch combines that landscape-inspired identity with straightforward time-and-date functionality.
The collection offers three dial options: Titanium Gray, Midnight Blue, and White Lume. Midnight Blue is limited to 200 pieces, while strap choices provide further room for customization. The range is currently available to preorder, with shipping scheduled for March 2027.
