We love watches, and we love clean, simple minimal design...so this review should be a breeze. South Lane Watches is a new Scandinavian brand, recently they sent us a sample of their flagship product "The Signature" to wear and review, a simple and sophisticated watch.
Our initial thoughts were - the watch is exactly what you want and expect in this price range, it features a contemporary design and speaks to simplicity. The watch features a 40mm case and is quite thin, making it very comfortable to wear. The face altogether is very clean, it features shiny silver numbers and markers that stand out on a black dial, making the watch easy to read. The shiny stainless steel case gives it a lot of wrist presence.
The watch comes with a choice of interchangeable straps, from classic one tone colors black and brown to colorful white/red, orange/blue combinations. This allows you to decide witch fits the character of the watch better or choose for dressed up or dressed down occasions.
Overall, this is a simple, clean design watch, its graphic minimalism defines the look and feel of the brand. The watch´s distinct case helps it stand out while maintaining classic styling. Don´t expect a super rugged watch, but for 150$ the watch does its job.
