Garmin is expanding their approach series with three new devices that aim to make Golf watches more accessible. Offering slightly more features at an entry level price, they have introduced two new Approach golf watches, the Approach S42 and S12, and a new clip-on rangefinder in the Approach G12. These wearable GPS devices are aimed at tech-savvy golfers looking to improve their game and analyze their shots. The Garmin Approach S42 is aimed at serious golfing enthusiasts, the cheaper Garmin Approach S12 might be a better pick for you if you are a beginner golfer, and the Garmin Approach G12, a clip-on rangefinder if wearing a golf watch is not for you. All three devices share common features such as details on over 42,000 golf courses worldwide, a Green View to help you get a better read on your putt, and compatibility with the Garmin Golf app for uploading scorecards and participating in leaderboards and tournaments.
