G-Shock Modern Industrial Collection

G-SHOCK’s new Modern Industrial Collection brings a fresh perspective to two of the brand’s most iconic timepieces, the GM2100 and GM5600. This collection combines minimalist industrial design with the toughness that G-SHOCK is known for, resulting in watches that are both functional and visually striking.

The standout feature is the metal bezel, crafted through a multi-step process including forging, pressing, honing, and ive black ion-plating. The textured top surface, paired with cutouts revealing the glass-fiber-reinforced resin inner case, highlights the collection’s focus on structural honesty and shock resistance. Achromatic tones of black, gray, and silver dominate the palette, accented sparingly with red for key functional elements, creating a look that is bold yet refined.

Each model is designed with everyday performance in mind. Shock-resistant construction and 200-meter water resistance make the watches durable for active lifestyles, while LED lighting ensures readability in low light. The 2100 models feature a hand shift function for an unobstructed digital display, and all watches come with bio-based resin bands featuring a raised square-dot texture that complements the industrial aesthetic.

The Modern Industrial Collection includes four models: GM5600M-1, GM5600BM-1, GM2100M-1A, and GM2100BM-1A. Each offers a unique take on G-SHOCK’s iconic silhouette, balancing heritage design cues with contemporary industrial craftsmanship.

Whether you’re a longtime collector or someone seeking a durable, stylish watch for everyday wear, the G-SHOCK Modern Industrial Collection delivers a seamless blend of design, durability, and modern aesthetic, proving that toughness can be beautiful.

20 Microbrand and Independent Watches Worth Knowing

The best microbrand watches make a convincing case for looking beyond the familiar names. Small teams can take risks that large manufacturers often avoid: unusual case shapes, obsessive dial work, purpose-built tool watches and thoughtful reinterpretations of designs that disappeared decades ago. Many also sell directly, putting more of the budget into the watch rather than a large retail network. ...
