Vicis Zero1

Vicis is a new startup from Seattle trying to crack a tough market, sports helmets. Their debut helmet, called Zero1 and designed by Artefact, is a 21st century football helmet that is safer, sexier and more functional, designed to reduce the risk of head injury for football players. The company is using their expertise in medicine and engineering to protect young athletes. Zero1 has a soft, deformable outer skin with a harder plastic core inside, it is designed to absorb the impact of a collision, the outer layers of the helmet slow acceleration and protect precious cargo, the brain. watch the video below
