Nike ACG Zegama
Most trail shoes try to strike a balance between comfort and control. The Nike ACG Zegama leans harder into comfort, but without losing the grip and protection you actually need once the terrain gets rough. At the center of it is the midsole. A combination of ZoomX and Cushlon 3.0 foam delivers a soft, cushioned ride, but with enough structure to stay stable when the trail gets uneven. It is built to absorb long distances and hard impacts, not just short runs.
The platform has also been opened up. A roomier forefoot and toe box let your foot move more naturally, which makes a noticeable difference on technical sections where stability matters more than speed. Underneath, the Vibram Megagrip outsole does what it is known for. Reliable traction across loose dirt, wet rock, and everything in between. The updated lug pattern just makes it more consistent across different conditions.
Up top, the breathable upper is paired with a stretch gaiter that helps keep debris out without feeling restrictive. It is a small upgrade, but one that matters when you are deep into a run. It is not trying to be the lightest or the fastest trail shoe. It is built to keep you going longer, and in the end, that is what matters.
