Nike ACG Zegama Trail Camo

Trail shoes often force a choice between soft cushioning and precise control. The Nike ACG Zegama Trail is built to offer both, pairing a highly cushioned platform with the grip, stability, and protection needed when the ground becomes steep, loose, or unpredictable.

The updated midsole places lightweight ZoomX foam directly beneath the foot, then surrounds it with a full layer of Cushlon 3.0. ZoomX provides the softer, more responsive sensation, while the firmer outer foam helps control the ride and absorb impacts across uneven terrain. It is a substantial setup, but one designed for long days rather than outright racing speed.

Nike has also widened the forefoot and toe box, giving the foot more room to spread as the trail changes direction. That extra space should feel particularly useful on technical descents and off-camber sections, where stability depends on more than simply locking the foot tightly inside the shoe. A stretch collar wraps around the ankle and heel to help keep loose dirt and small debris from entering.

Underneath, a Vibram Megagrip outsole uses Traction Lug technology and revised rubber coverage to provide dependable grip across wet and dry surfaces. The breathable mesh upper keeps the shoe relatively light while reinforcing the areas exposed to repeated contact with rocks, roots, and rough trail surfaces.

The men’s version weighs approximately 338 grams in a US size 10 and uses a low 4mm heel-to-toe drop. This Spruce Fog, Sea Glass, Black, and Black Spruce colorway carries the style number HV8113-300 and is priced at $180 in the United States.

The ACG Zegama is not intended to disappear beneath the foot. It offers plenty of foam, a broad platform, and a protective upper for runners who value comfort and confidence over a stripped-back racing feel. For long distances across demanding terrain, that trade-off makes a great deal of sense.
