YETI Performance Apparel Collection
Best known for its rugged coolers, drinkware, and outdoor equipment, YETI is taking a major step into technical clothing with the launch of its first Performance Apparel collection. The five-piece lineup brings the brand's durability-focused approach to insulated jackets, waterproof outerwear, merino wool midlayers, and fleece, with understated designs intended for everything from everyday adventures to demanding weather conditions.
Leading the collection is the Tilloo Hooded Rain Jacket, a three-layer waterproof shell built with a stretch Nylon 66 ripstop exterior, breathable membrane, and recycled polyester lining. YETI claims an impressive 40,000mm waterproof rating and 45,000g/m²/24hr breathability, supported by fully taped seams and a water-resistant YKK AquaGuard zipper. Priced at $350, the Tilloo is designed to provide substantial weather protection without restricting movement, making it suitable for hiking, camping, and wet-weather travel.
For colder conditions, the $400 Tensleep Hooded Hybrid Down Jacket combines two different insulation technologies. RDS-certified ExpeDRY down provides warmth while improving moisture management, while traceable European Lavalan wool is strategically positioned in areas where breathability and temperature regulation matter most. A stretch-woven exterior with a durable water-repellent finish adds flexibility and protection against light precipitation. The result is a versatile insulated layer that can be worn independently or underneath a waterproof shell.
The remaining three pieces complete the layering system. The $280 Hueco Merino 310 Full-Zip and $200 Caprock Merino 250 Quarter-Zip use Nuyarn merino technology, developed to improve durability, moisture management, and shape retention compared with conventional merino fabrics. Meanwhile, the $180 Sansaba Fleece 260 Full-Zip incorporates PrimaLoft Bio fleece made from post-consumer recycled materials, offering lightweight warmth with a breathable, quick-drying construction.
Available in men's and women's sizes, the collection maintains YETI's straightforward design language, favoring practical details and subdued colors over prominent branding. All five styles come with a limited three-year warranty, and the initial launch is exclusive to the United States. With prices ranging from $180 to $400, YETI Performance Apparel represents an ambitious move into a competitive outdoor clothing market, bringing technical fabrics and purposeful construction to a brand already associated with durable adventure gear.
