Outerknown Woolaroo Jacket

The Outerknown Woolaroo Jacket brings a familiar fleece shape to a different material: 100% recycled wool. Developed with Italian textile specialist Manteco, its plush fabric turns reclaimed fibers into an everyday layer designed for warmth, breathability, and natural odor resistance.

The process starts with discarded garments and manufacturing scraps, which are sorted and transformed into new fabric in Italy. Different shades of recovered wool create the colors and patterns without additional dyes. For fall 2026, the lineup includes Chocolate Camo alongside Heather Natural, Heather Olive, and Mid Heather Grey.

Construction stays straightforward. The jacket is unlined, with flatlock seams throughout, hand warmer pockets, and contrasting trim running from the hem to the collar. Elastic-bound cuffs finish the sleeves, while a small embroidered logo keeps branding understated. The classic fit makes it an easy match for denim, work pants, or casual weekend layers.

Listed at $298, the Woolaroo is made in Sri Lanka using the Italian fabric. One practical consideration is the care label: it requires dry cleaning. Its appeal is the combination of a familiar casual silhouette with a thoughtfully developed recycled material.
