UAG Dryout Collection
Most tech bags are designed to stop water from getting in. The UAG DRYOUT Collection addresses the harder problem: what to do after moisture has already reached your phone, laptop, earbuds, or other electronics.
Each product incorporates DRYOUT Active Moisture-Removal Technology, a reusable absorbent system that draws moisture away from a device and traps it inside its core. It requires no power, batteries, or setup. The device is switched off, placed inside the designated compartment or pouch, and left sealed while the material works. Once saturated, the DRYOUT panel can be reactivated using sunlight, direct heat, or forced airflow.
The collection covers several different carry formats rather than treating the technology as a standalone emergency accessory. It includes a 22L backpack, an 18L roll-top backpack, a tech tote, a crossbody sling, a 16-inch laptop sleeve, and dedicated recovery pouches for phones and wireless earbuds. Prices currently range from $34.95 for the smaller pouches to $169.95 for the 22L backpack.
The 22L backpack shows how the system works in daily use. Its DRYOUT-lined sleeve accommodates laptops up to 16 inches alongside tablets, phones, cameras, headphones, battery packs, and other electronics. Dual compartments, internal pockets, a water-bottle pocket, breathable shoulder straps, and a moulded back panel make it practical as a regular commuting or travel bag rather than something reserved for emergencies.
UAG says the backpack uses a ballistic-poly shell, reinforced panels, and waterproof seams to help protect its contents from weather and accidental spills. After light moisture exposure, the company recommends leaving affected equipment inside the DRYOUT compartment for three to seven hours. A fully immersed device may require five to nine hours. Recovery is not guaranteed, and wet electronics should remain powered off and disconnected from chargers while drying.
