Pelican PX35 Aegis 35L Creator Backpack
Pelican brings its protective case DNA to a camera backpack with the PX35 Aegis 35L Creator Backpack. Designed for photographers, filmmakers, and other creators working on the move, it uses the brand’s Pelican Shield protection system to give sensitive equipment more structure without turning the bag into a hard case. The 35-liter capacity is sized for carry-on use with most airlines.
Access is one of the PX35’s strongest features. Top, side, and rear openings make it possible to reach gear from different angles, while a dedicated protected upper compartment is sized for a drone or camera body. Inside, a removable padded divider insert keeps equipment organized and can be lifted directly into compatible Pelican Protector 1510 or Air 1535 hard cases without repacking the entire kit.
The exterior is made from weather-resistant 500D Cordura, backed up by a built-in deployable rain fly when conditions get worse. A fixed beaver tail with an external MOLLE field adds room for a tripod, pouches, or overflow gear, while Pelican’s ModPak system allows the interior organization to be expanded with optional packing cubes and accessories.
At 5.4 pounds, the PX35 is substantial, but the padded harness, breathable back panel, and waist strap are designed to spread the load during longer shoots. Measuring 22.06 × 12.6 × 8.6 inches, it strikes a useful middle ground between a protective camera case and a backpack that can still be carried comfortably through airports, trails, and production days.
