Monos Aluminum Carry-On

Monos has added a true cabin-size option to its Aluminum Collection, giving frequent travelers a more compact alternative to the existing Carry-On Plus. The new Aluminum Carry-On measures 22.2 × 14.2 × 9.3 inches and offers 34 litres of capacity, dimensions Monos says are suitable for overhead bins across major airlines in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.

The shell is formed from a custom 5ZCT3 aluminum alloy with a brushed anodized and electroplated finish. Riveted corner guards reinforce the exterior, while a zipperless frame and two TSA-accepted combination locks keep the case secure. Like most aluminum luggage, the surface is designed to pick up marks and develop its own patina over time.

Travel hardware includes a four-stage telescopic handle, soft-release side handle, reinforced wheel housings, and redesigned 50mm 360-degree spinner wheels. Inside, the black diamond-quilted antimicrobial lining is made from recycled polyester, with a removable compression pad, dual-pocket organizer, laundry bag, and two shoe bags helping keep everything in place.

The Aluminum Carry-On weighs 11 pounds and is intended for trips of roughly three to seven days. Available in Champagne Gold, Aspen Silver, and Caviar Black, it is priced at $695 and backed by Monos’ limited lifetime warranty.
