stuff we drool about

EDC September

September’s EDC selection brings together four pieces that approach everyday carry from very different angles: a retro-futuristic digital watch, a limited-edition titanium folder, Garmin’s first screen-free smart band, and Sennheiser’s latest flagship wireless earbuds.

Timex Retroware Digital Watch

Timex digital watch

The Timex Retroware takes inspiration from vintage digital sports watches without simply recreating one. Its oversized 46mm resin case surrounds a curved digital display, while chronograph, timer, alarm, calendar, and INDIGLO functions cover the everyday essentials. At just 43.83g, it keeps the large silhouette surprisingly light, while 50-meter water resistance makes it practical beyond the desk.

WEKNIFE Muster Flipper

The Muster is one of the more distinctive folders in WEKNIFE’s army-inspired collection. This Desert Terrain edition pairs a 3.83-inch Böhler M390 clip-point blade with a 6AL4V titanium handle, frame lock, ceramic ball-bearing pivot, and titanium pocket clip. Production is limited to just 210 individually numbered pieces, each accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity.

Garmin CIRQA Smart Band

Garmin circa band

Garmin’s CIRQA takes fitness tracking in the opposite direction from the modern smartwatch. There is no screen and no constant stream of notifications, just continuous health and activity monitoring that feeds into Garmin Connect. It tracks heart rate, Body Battery, Pulse Ox, stress, skin temperature, sleep, HRV, and more, while automatically recognizing activities and offering up to 10 days of battery life. Better still, Garmin does not require a subscription to access its core tracking features.

Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 5

Sennheiser earphones

Sennheiser’s fifth-generation MOMENTUM earbuds push further into flagship territory with Bluetooth 6.0, aptX Adaptive and Lossless support, 24-bit/96kHz playback, Dolby Atmos spatial audio, and an updated Hybrid Adaptive ANC system. Each earbud can run for up to 12 hours with ANC off, while the case extends total listening time to 40 hours. Most unusually, the batteries in both the earbuds and charging case are designed to be user-replaceable, potentially giving them a much longer useful life.
