Walzwerk BMW GS X-PLORER

The WalzWerk BMW GS X-Plorer is the ultimate neo-retro adventure bike, combining the timeless style of vintage BMW GS models with modern performance and bespoke craftsmanship. Based on the legendary R100GS (1987–1996), each X-Plorer is fully rebuilt, from engine and transmission to suspension and brakes, delivering 67–70 horsepower and a ready-to-ride weight of just 188 kg.

WalzWerk, a German custom shop with over 35 years of experience, has created the X-Plorer as a small-series, handcrafted motorcycle designed for both off-road adventures and long-distance touring. The bike is offered in two configurations: the "Rally” spec with a compact cockpit fairing and the "Raid” spec featuring a larger fairing, crash bars, and a 26-liter fuel tank. Both versions feature custom components from Acerbis, Touratech suspension upgrades, reinforced frames, and a gel-core two-piece seat designed for comfort and versatility.

Every X-Plorer comes with thoughtful details like a twin front disc brake setup, spoked tubeless wheels, a ceramic-coated exhaust, and an ergonomic cockpit with Daytona instruments and a Quad Lock smartphone mount. Buyers can further personalize their bike with color choices, exhaust systems, subframes, and more, making each build truly unique.

For riders who find modern BMW GS bikes too high-tech and older models lacking, the WalzWerk X-Plorer strikes the perfect balance: classic Dakar-inspired styling, modern reliability, and premium, made-to-order craftsmanship. It’s a motorcycle built for those who demand adventure without compromise.
