Scout x Sitka Edition Camper

Scout Campers and Sitka Gear have turned the Olympic Hardwall into a purpose-built backcountry basecamp for hunters, anglers, and overlanders. Limited to just 10 examples for the U.S. and Canada, the Sitka Edition keeps Scout’s lightweight, wood-free composite construction but adds equipment designed around wet gear, cold mornings, and extended time far from pavement.

The biggest changes are inside. A dedicated mudroom gives dirty boots and waders somewhere to live away from the main cabin, while a heated gear locker uses warm interior air to help dry gloves, footwear, and outer layers overnight. Custom MOLLE panels add configurable storage, and dedicated mounts provide secure space for bows, firearms, rods, and other longer equipment. Sitka’s influence also extends to the interior materials and an exclusive Optifade Open Country camouflage treatment outside.

The build also adds Richlite countertops, diesel heat, Garmin PowerSwitch integration, Starlink Mini capability, Baja Designs lighting, and Scout’s Universal Power Tower. Together, those systems turn the camper into more of a working field station than a conventional recreational setup, with storage, power, connectivity, and climate control organized around multi-day trips.

The Sitka Edition weighs around 1,650 pounds and is intended for properly configured full-size half-ton pickups. Each camper is built in Yakima, Washington, and the limited run is priced at $55,000. With only 10 available, this collaboration is less about mass-market camping and more about showing how specialized a truck camper can become when it is designed around the realities of backcountry use.
