Augment 360 Folding Moped

The Augment 360 sits somewhere between a standing e-scooter and a conventional electric moped. It offers a proper seat, substantial tyres, hydraulic brakes, and speeds of up to 45 km/h, yet the entire machine can be folded into a narrow upright shape when the journey is over.

That compact structure is the defining feature. The 360 measures 1,555 × 609 × 1,010mm when ready to ride, but folds down to 1,265 × 350 × 1,180mm. It can then be rolled through a building and stored in an office, basement, bike room, or home rather than left exposed outside. At 36kg with its battery installed, it remains much lighter than a typical moped, although it is better suited to lifts and short steps than being carried up several flights.

Its low mass does not come at the expense of basic road equipment. The aluminium frame rides on wide 120/90-R10 tubeless tyres developed specifically for the vehicle, with reinforced sidewalls helping absorb smaller bumps. Four-piston hydraulic braking and a 200mm rotor handle the front, while the rear uses a two-piston caliper and 180mm disc. The vehicle carries an IPX4 rating for normal wet-weather riding.

Two versions are offered. The quicker model reaches 45 km/h and falls into the European L1e moped category, while a 25 km/h version is intended for slower urban use and may be subject to different local licensing rules. The electric motor delivers up to 2,140 watts at peak, and the 45 km/h version produces 1,200 watts of continuous output.

A removable lithium-ion battery provides approximately 50km of real-world range. It weighs just over five kilograms and charges from a standard socket in around four and a half hours, making it possible to leave the moped downstairs while taking only the battery inside. The seat also opens to reveal access to the battery and a small storage compartment.

The 360 includes app-based riding settings and anti-theft protection. When activated, movement triggers the system to lock the rear wheel, while an NFC key card is used to unlock and start the vehicle. Augment backs the moped with a two-year warranty and covers the aluminium frame for five years.

What makes the Augment 360 interesting is not simply that it folds. It is that the folding mechanism has been applied to a road-legal seated vehicle with useful speed, proper braking hardware, and enough range for everyday urban travel. It offers more substance than a portable scooter without demanding the storage space of a full-size moped.
