McLaren has entered the e-bike market with a new line of performance electric mountain bikes. Designed by McLarena€tms automotive team, these bikes bring the branda€tms signature speed, technology, and style to electric mountain biking. The lineup includes four models: Extreme 600W, Extreme 250W, Sport 600W, and Sport 250W. The 600-watt motor delivers an impressive 852 watts of peak power and 118 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful street-legal e-bike available.
Both Extreme and Sport models feature hand-laid carbon fiber frames, with the Extreme models boasting an SRAM wireless XX Eagle Transmission 12-speed drivetrain. The Sport models come with a mechanical SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed unit. A full-color display, inspired by McLarena€tms cars, provides information on battery life, range, and speed.
These e-bikes are equipped with Pirelli tires and offer five power settings: Off, Eco, Trail, Sport, and Race. Availability will be limited, reflecting McLarena€tms exclusive approach to high-end products.
