Twisted NA-V8 Defender
Texas-based Twisted Automotive (a subsidiary of the British company) has unveiled a potent version of the Land Rover Defender it dubs the Twisted NA-V8. The mighty NA-V8 takes all the greatness of the icon and brings it into the 21st century in both style and luxury. The rugged off-roader is adorned with a plethora of upgrades over a regular Defender and will be capped at just 200 units. Five models will initially be offered: the short wheelbase 90 Soft-Top and 90 Station Wagon, the long-wheelbase 110 Station Wagon and 110 Double Cab pickup, and the extended-wheelbase 130 Pickup, which combines the four-door Double Cab with a longer rear bed and one-ton payload capacity. All are powered by the 6.2-liter V-8, but Twisted North America also plans to announce a version with an all-electric powertrain in the near future. You also get a new off-road suspension with extra travel, larger brakes, upgraded differentials and driveline componentry, dual-mode exhaust, a tech-packed interior and tons of modern amenities. Twisted says it will be able to put together 200 of them over the next five years.
