Singer Porsche 911 Safari
Singer Vehicle Design are dedicated to the passionate study, preservation and optimization of the iconic Porsche 911. The latest masterpiece to roll out of their workshop, is this insane off-road Porsche! We love this, partially because its just cool looking and partially because it drives automotive purists up the wall. The outrageous Porsche 911 rally beast is inspired by World Rally Championship cars of the 80s, and started life as a 1990 Type 964 Porsche 911 before Singer took it under the knife. Designed in partnership with Richard Tuthill, the monster had its suspension entirely reworked for a much higher ride height, and is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 3.6L, air-cooled flat-six engine producing 450 hp and up. The car was also fitted with carbon fiber body panels, permanent all-wheel-drive, racing transmissions, a full FIA spec roll cage, custom competition FIA-certified seats, a rehydration system, and 16-inch aluminum wheels set inside monstrous BFGoodrich tires.
